Kebetulan pula, guru mentor Kim Songsaenim memang mempunyai rakan di sekolah ini. Rakan seuniversiti. Maka ketibaan kami di Gosan Middle School, disambut dengan baik oleh pihak sekolah.
Besar juga kawasan sekolahnya. Menurut guru besar Gosan Middle School ini, bilangan pelajar nya adalah mencecah sehingga 1200 orang pelajar, dengan 80 orang guru. Bilangan pelajar yang paling ramai murid sekalipun ada banyak lagi sekolah Middle School yang berada dekat dengan sekolah ini. Sekolah bagus lah nih.
Untuk pengetahuan pembaca sekalian, pelajar di sekolah menengah dibahagikan kepada 2, iaitu Middle School yang bersamaan dengan menengah rendah ( 1 2 3) kita dan juga High School yang bersamaan dengan menengah atas (4 5 6) jika di Malaysia.
Perkara pertama yang saya perasan adalah fasiliti mereka cukup lengkap. Pasti ada kafetaria (kantin), dewan kuliah, dewan besar untuk aktiviti indoor dan kemudahan lain sekolah. Banyak bilik-bilik khas juga ada, seperti perpustakaan, bilik kaunseling.
Di Korea juga, hampir semua sekolah baik rendah atau menengah mempunyai bilik khas broadcasting sekolah yang akan berfungsi bagi menyampaikan maklumat dan pengumuman kepada semua pelajar. Maka sebab itu jugak lah tiada perhimpunan khas untuk guru dan pelajar di sekolah. Yang lebih menarik, semua peralatan broadcasting tersebut dikendalikan oleh pelajar.
Kemudian kami bergerak dari kelas ke kelas. Happening sebenarnya budak-budak sekolah di Middle School nih. Happy jer diorang. Malah, ketika saya masuk ke sebuah kelas, mereka sangat ramah bertegur sapa dan tanya macam-macam. Jauh lebih berani nak bertutur dalam Bahasa Inggeris berbanding dengan budak High School.
Sempat juga saya tanyakan guru mentor dan pengetua, kenapa lah budak-budak nih happy dan gembira sangat, serta banyak bercakap dengan kami. Lantas jawapan yang diberikan oleh guru mentor saya adalah disebabkan kerana di Middle School mereka hanya belajar sahaja. Tidak perlu pening kepala atau stress memikirkan tentang peperiksaan awam dan juga nasib selepas tamat persekolahan berbanding budak-budak High School.
Ok, sekarang dah faham kenapa diorang sangat ceria dan riang ria..
Lawatan kami di Gosan Middle School ini diteruskan lagi dengan kunjungan ke beberapa tempat lain. Nak jadi cerita, balik awal pula budak-budak tu pada hari ni. Maka sempat lah tengok diorang kemaskan kelas sebelum balik.
Dalam pada tu, sempat juga melihat bagaimana handphone di simpan oleh guru kelas. Satu beg besar disediakan dengan siap berkocek dan bernombor. Pelajar akan simpan dalam beg tersebut pada awal pagi persekolahan, dan akan ambil semula sebelum balik dari sekolah. Menarik juga konsep yang digunakan. Jujur pelajar-pelajar dia.
Part paling saya suka ada sekolah ini memberikan ruang yang besar untuk pelajar menonjolkan bakat dan juga hasil seni mereka. Maka adalah ruang khas untuk mural yang dilukis oleh pelajar. Bab nih memang saya suka. Baru lah pelajar ada rasa 'kepunyaan' dan kecintaan kepada sekolah.
Akhir sekali kami bergerak ke kawasan padang. Sekalipun masa untuk balik ke rumah dah tiba, masih ramai pelajar lelaki terutamanya yang berada di sekolah untuk bermain dengan rakan-rakan. Ada yang main bola sepak, bola keranjang dan tak lupa juga sukan paling popular di Korea, besbol!
Dari sana, kami bergerak pulang ke rumah. Rasanya best jugak pengalaman ke Middle School nih. Baru boleh nampak pelbagai ramai dengan pelajar-pelajar menengah rendah yang masih cute-cute nih.
Oh. Lupa pulak nak maklumkan. Saya juga sangat gembira pada hari nih sebab sekali lagi berpeluang masuk suratkhabar di Korea nih. Suratkhabar Maeil Shinmun bertarikh 264 November 2015 itu pasti menjadi kenangan terindah buat saya sepanjang berada di Korea nih.
