So siapa Generasi Y nih?
Mereka adalah generasi yang lahir tahun 1977 hingga 1995, berpendidikan tinggi dan obses dengan teknologi. Cekap beradaptasi dengan teknologi terkini dan fleksibel untuk terima perubahan. Generasi ini dikatakan bersifat kepelbagaian dan mudah bekerjasama dengan generasi lain.
Mereka suka jadual yang fleksibel serta mengharapkan pemimpin yang bersama mereka ketika bekerja. Leader, bukan bos. Mereka juga suka jika diberi pengiktirafan atas kerja yang dilakukan, namun kurang bagi respon kepada arahan dalam bentuk kawalan dari pihak atasan. Tak suka dicontrol lah senang ceritanya.

Mereka lahir dalam persekitaran yang sering mempersoalkan sesuatu perkara yang berlaku. Dan sering beranggapan mereka boleh lakukan perubahan besar kepada dunia.
Sisi negatifnya, Generasi Y sentiasa percaya apa yang mereka lakukan adalah betul. Kurang sabar dalam menghadapi masalah dan tidak boleh ditegur secara terbuka. Mereka juga tidak setia dengan sesebuah organisasi. Tak suka, mereka akan blah.
