Kesilapan ramai guru dalam menjadi Guru Cemerlang nih kadang-kadang adalah seperti "baru saja tersedar dari tidur, bangun-bangun terus nak apply GC".

Journey Guru Cemerlang nih perlukan masa, perancangan, dan juga atur strategi. Omputih kata, Rome wasn't built in a day.
Sebab tu saya selalu mulakan tips bagi guru yang berminat dengan Guru Cemerlang supaya pastikan syarat utama di penuhi dulu. Terutamanya berkaitan dengan tahun bila kita layak mohon. Sebab kalau salah kira, (akibat salah faham kita), akhirnya kita buat kerja sia-sia. Nazir tak tengok borang bukan sebab kita tak hebat. Tapi sebab syarat awal pun kita dah tak penuhi. Rugi lah kan?

So sabar adalah kata kunci nya. Jangan excited lebih. Jangan gelojoh. Dan yang penting jangan cepat give up!
Jika dapati paling cepat kita boleh mohon Guru Cemerlang adalah pada tahun 2023, patutnya kita sujud syukur. Sebab kita ada banyak tahun lagi kita boleh buat persediaan. Banyak lagi bahagian kita kena tengok untuk tambahbaik amalan kita. Bukan hanya fokus pada satu bahagian tertentu saja.
Maka kita kena atur dan rancang kerja buat kita untuk 3 tahun yang bakal dinilai, iaitu tahun 2020, 2021 dan 2022.
Saya kongsi sket jadual yang sering saya guna untuk nilai sumbangan dan pencapaian saya setiap tahun. Ada tak sumbangan untuk daerah? Untuk negeri? Untuk Kebangsaan? Ada tak inovasi? Ada tak penulisan? Ya, kena all rounder!

Tak perlu penuh semua sebenarnya. Tapi boleh catat slow2 supaya kita sendiri pon dah boleh NAMPAK apa sumbangan dan penglibatan kita sepanjang tahun-tahun sebelum kita mohon tu. Dan yang paling penting, boleh NILAI apa kelebihan dan kekurangan kita dalam menjadi seorang guru sebelum kita bergelar Guru Cemerlang. Boleh faham?
